Child Care for (and by) activists
Some protests and civil actions are great to bring the kids to. Our own kids' bedroom walls are adorned with signs they made, and we're proud that they're active and outspoken. Some, though, aren't as safe or appropriate for kids, especially if you're risking arrest or harm to be involved. We'd like to help.
For up to three hours, we'll provide your kids supervision (and fun!) provided by our amazing staff (often including certified teachers) - unlimited access to rock climbing, laser tag, obstacle courses, our inflatable sports arena, and small group games. They also get your choice of entree (wrap, pizza, or salad), beverage (soda, juice, water or milk), side (tots, salad or fruit cup) and dessert (a cookie, brownie, fruit or Purple Door ice cream). Should you be delayed or detained during the action, we'll get a hold of your emergency contacts and make arrangements.
We know it's not much, but we'd like to ensure that parents and guardians can be great role models for their kids and communities, too. If you're on a limited income, please let us know in the notes below, and we'll reduce the price accordingly.
Pre-registration (below) is required for children of all ages, but we can accommodate only up to 4 potty-trained children if they are under age 7. The all-inclusive cost is just $35 per child ($5 discount for additional children in the same family). During drop-off, please escort your child inside and be sure you have a signed waiver on file with us which includes your phone number and address. Thanks for being an active member of your community.
